Kevin Barry Wins Dublin Literary Award for Debut Novel

Kevin Barry, an Irish author, has won the International Impac Dublin Literary Award for “City of Bohane,'’ his debut novel. The award, issued since 1996 for novels written in or translated into English, is given with a prize of 100,000 Euros, or about $130,000. Previous winners of the award include Colm Toibin for “The Master” and Colum McCann for “Let the Great World Spin.”
